A detailed version of what I uploaded earlier today!
I'll explain shortly what the project is about.
So basically, we have to create a new world/planet and design our own environment; creatures, plants, climate etc!
The only rules: The part of the world we design, is where the creatures we created live in, it has to be in a crater which is approx. 30 km. And we have to do something with a certain liquid that can be used as, say fuel, or some kind of power source.
Other than that, we can design and create everything ourselves. As long as we explain why the things work the way they do in our world. For example, do the creatures have big claws? Yes? Why, because they hunt? Do they climb?
There's a lot of things like that, that we have to think about which makes this very challenging, but fun. I really like this project because of the challenge the freedom gives me.
This project is meant for us to practice our storytelling and character design.
Besides just designing the creatures, we have to study the anatomy. The bone structure, the muscles, skin, fur etc.
And this is a picture that I just finished. I think I worked on it for about three hours. I would've never thought I'd like to draw muscles but I find it fun to do, actually!
And because of painting this, I found out a great way to draw blood, as well. c:
